Pangaea Biotech’s technology currently includes 14 biomarkers filed for patent application in three tumor types (lung, bladder, and breast), and 6 on-going research projects.

Our first patent has been granted in the USA: BRCA1 expression levels as a marker for chemotherapy selection in non-small cell lung cancer.

Additionally, the company has filed for 3 methodology patents, specifically related to RNA extraction in paraffin-embedded tissue, which have also been filed for patent-protection.

Two such patents have been granted in the EU: a) RNA extraction in paraffin-embedded tissue, and b) detection of EGFR mutations of sensitivity /resistance to TKI EGFR inhibitors in serum.
